MDARS I Software
MDARS I is used on the following Mazda vehicles:
- 2016-2021 CX-3
- 2019-Current Mazda3
- 2020-Current CX-30
- 2021-2023 CX-9
- 2014-Current Mazda2
- 2021-2025 CX-5
- 2022-2024 MX-30
- 2023-Current CX-50
- 2025-Current CX-50 Hybrid
- 2024-Current CX-90
- 2016-Current MX-5
- 2025-Current CX-70
MDARS II Software
MDARS II is used on the following Mazda vehicles:
- 2026-Current CX-5
NOTE:
- A Mazda IDS subscription will also get you access to MDARS I and II, cloud-based software, for 7th generation and newer vehicles.
- MDARS I and II can also be purchased for 72 hours or 30 days like PCM reflashing software because Mazda Module Programming (MMP) and Mazda Diagnostic software for Aftermarket (MDSFA) will not work on the vehicles listed above.
- MDARS I: After 100 days of non-use, your MDARS password will have to be reset. This will take at least one day to have Japan send a password reset email.

Supported VCI
MDARS I and II software can be used with the Denso DST-010, the Mazda VCM II (with IDS installed), or one of the following pass thru devices:
- Denso DST-010 (all variants)
NOTE:
- Mazda VCM hardware is purchased separately – refer to the “Mazda VCI Information” tab.
- There are no VCM drivers in MDARS. The VCMII can only work with MDARS on a PC where IDS is installed because the VCM drivers are included in IDS. Otherwise, a pass thru device will need to be used.

CAUTION:
- Only supported on a PC with pre-installed Windows 10/11.
- PCs that have been updated from Windows 8 (or older) to Windows 10/11 are not supported.
- PCs with AMD based processors and ARM architecture are not supported.
NOTE:
- Any PC that does not meet the requirements are not supported.
- PCs that have been in operation for more than 5 years are recommended to be replaced at appropriate times to ensure stable operation of the diagnostics.
